Now this is really eye-catching...one could classify this as an expressive piece or commentary on how people can be "hidden" in the larger world as that these masks are contained in these pipes which encompass most of the picture. They seem to be staring/peeking out of "windows" of a larger world. Perhaps even that they are trying to assert their individuality; to gain independance and be recognized from the masses of the larger world. Great composition and piece. It makes one think of how people can get lost in the shuffle of the larger world and address the issues of individualism vs. conformity.
